The Qld Muslim Inc Crisis Centre (QMICC) is a QMI initiative: a single point of contact for Queensland Muslims and their families seeking help and advice, particularly during a crisis.
About QMICC
Free, anonymous and confidential support
QMICC is described as a free, anonymous and confidential support line for Muslims in Queensland. You can call to discuss personal difficulties or questions, and QMICC will direct you to appropriate services, resources and expertise within and outside the community.

Domestic violence; drugs and alcohol; mental health; seniors; sexual abuse; homelessness; refugees; Islamophobia; business, tax and legal; education and training; youth; Centrelink; community grants; employment and job readiness; volunteering; mentoring; births, marriages and deaths; mosques and imams; charities; police; health services; interpreter services.

Mission
What QMICC aims to do
- Improve the health and wellbeing of Muslim individuals, families and communities in Queensland
- Provide information and counselling, and direct people seeking help in a crisis to appropriate services, resources and expertise
- Reach out to people in need
- Bridge gaps where mainstream services lack understanding of Muslims’ cultural, spiritual and religious identities
- Build a network of professional and community-based support, and a database of services and resources
- Train helpline counsellors to respond with cultural and religious sensitivity
- Run workshops, training programs and campaigns in areas of need
